Sara Gelrud

My name is Sara Gelrud and I'm a senior from Gulliver Prep in Miami, FL.

​

I started writing for my school's newspaper, "The Raider Voice," in 10th grade as a contributing writer. Quickly, I became interested in the world of student journalism and I became the copy editor for the paper the following year. Now, I am serving as the paper's Co-Editor-in-Chief. I've explored many mediums of journalism: from articles, to video packages, to podcasts and photojournalism, I've learned a new skill from each. I love writing reviews, profiles, features, and I love recording podcasts.

Aside from my work in "The Raider Voice," I have served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of my school's Literary and Arts Magazine, "Reflections," since 10th grade.

My work has been recognized on both state and national levels and I look forward to exploring journalism, communications, and writing in my future education.
